About Patu Tifinger

Artist's Bio

Patu Tifinger is an outstanding artist, photographer and designer working in two-dimensional, three-dimensional and digital media. Her experience with the theatrical space and her work in the past 7 years as a graphic designer, web designer/developer and creative director enables her to powerfully express ideas in any media she chooses to adopt.

She is an autodidact artist, who started drawing, painting and sculpting at an early age, and has been creating a wide range of figurative and non-figurative pieces using various media, including pencil, ink, charcoal, pastel, oil, wire, clay, paper and stone. She has chosen not to set aside the other forms of visual expression by further becoming adept as a graduated sculptor, painter, illustrator and web designer. There’s always a new challenge, a new form of expression to explore. She’s been successfully combining all her passions from various fields including fine art, theater and music, as well as, technology, code and computers.

Born in Budapest, Hungary in 1973, she's been living and creating in different countries throughout Europe, North- and South America. In recent years she participated in several art and cultural projects in Hungary, in the USA and in Brazil. Currently, she lives in London, works as senior web designer, creates art indoors and outdoors and enjoys every moment of now.

Won the "call for artists" to conceptualize and design a sculpture project for the Recreation Center of the City of Gulfport, FL, USA (2001)
Taught a drawing course ("Drawing - another approach") and a 2 months workshop ("Visual thinking and composition") for artists in the Centro Cultural Bernardo Mascarenhas in Juiz de Fora, MG, Brazil, invited by the City of Juiz de Fora (2000)
Studied at the Lime Academy of Fine Art, CT, USA. Participated in the 24th Annual Juried Student Exhibition (2000)
Worked as a photographer in Hampton Beach, NH, USA (1999-2000)
Designed various sceneries for the Academy of Drama and Film in Budapest, Hungary (1997-1999)
Attended the Technical College for Light Industry (KMF) in Budapest and graduated as a packaging engineer (1994-1997)
